This Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) Policy sets out how Alexis Design and Build (“Alexis”, “we”, “our”, “us”) manages, protects, collects, uses, discloses, retains, and processes personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

Alexis recognises the importance of personal data and is committed to complying fully with its obligations under the PDPA. This policy applies to all clients, prospective clients, website users, business partners, suppliers, subcontractors, and any other individuals whose personal data is in the possession or under the control of Alexis.

For the purposes of this policy, “personal data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data alone or from that data and other information to which Alexis has or is likely to have access.

Alexis may collect, use, disclose, and process personal data including but not limited to names, identification numbers such as NRIC, FIN or passport numbers where legally required, contact details, residential or property addresses, project and site information, photographs and videos, billing and payment details, contractual information, correspondence records, and website usage data.

Personal data may be collected through various means including but not limited to website enquiry forms, phone calls, emails, WhatsApp and other messaging platforms, in-person meetings, contracts and documents, site surveys, project documentation, and through cookies and other website tracking technologies.

Alexis collects, uses, and discloses personal data strictly for legitimate business purposes. These purposes include but are not limited to responding to enquiries, preparing quotations and proposals, providing design, renovation, construction, A&A and carpentry services, managing and executing projects, coordinating with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities, making authority submissions, providing customer support and after-sales service, administering contracts, handling billing and payments, maintaining records, complying with legal and regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, conducting audits, improving services and business operations, and, where consent has been given, sending marketing or service-related communications.

Alexis will not collect, use, or disclose personal data for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the individual’s consent or where permitted or required by law.

By providing personal data to Alexis, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data for the purposes stated in this policy. You acknowledge that if you choose not to provide certain required personal data, Alexis may not be able to provide you with its services or perform contractual obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time by giving reasonable written notice to Alexis, subject to legal, regulatory, and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice periods.

Alexis will make reasonable efforts to ensure that personal data in its possession or under its control is accurate and complete. However, individuals are responsible for informing Alexis of any changes to their personal data.

Alexis takes reasonable administrative, physical, and technical measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks. While Alexis strives to protect personal data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Alexis does not guarantee absolute security.

Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required for legal or business purposes. When personal data is no longer necessary, Alexis will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or anonymise the data.

Alexis may disclose personal data to its employees, project teams, professional consultants such as engineers or architects, subcontractors, suppliers, building management, MCST, HDB, BCA, URA or other relevant authorities, and legal or regulatory bodies where such disclosure is necessary for business, project execution, or legal compliance. Alexis does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, Alexis will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA.

Individuals may request access to or correction of their personal data by submitting a written request to Alexis. Alexis may charge a reasonable administrative fee where permitted by law and reserves the right to refuse access or correction requests where permitted under the PDPA.
